Rogue Winterfest Culinary Christmas Classic

One of the four events offered during Rogue Winterfest is the spectacular Culinary Christmas Classic. Each year, the best of Southern Oregon’s culinary establishments, wineries, and breweries showcase their culinary artistry at this epicurean event. Guests can enjoy food and wine pairings, bid on more than $20,000 of tempting Silent Auction items, dance to music by Broadway Phil and the Shouters, view holiday trees and local art, and experience Evergreen Federal Bank’s magical Christmas on Mars Exhibit. It’s an entertaining, Disneyland-style holiday adventure in Grants Pass. What an incredible night!

Please contact Rogue Winterfest Event Planner Sue Price for more information on how you can participate and showcase your business. Email Sue at or call 541.890.5472.

Broadway Phil and the Shouters is one of Southern Oregon’s top bands and has been rocking clubs and concerts since 1994. Building on a long tradition of West Coast blues, R&B, and roots rock, the Shouters remain a hard-driving mainstay of the independent music scene in Oregon, California, and beyond.

The Shouters’ long run has included stints with Huey Lewis, Dave Mason, Robben Ford, Little Charlie and the Night Kats, Curtis Salgado, Roomful of Blues, Paul Delay, Roy Rogers, and Lloyd Jones.

A special thank-you to Southern Oregon Audio Visual for providing all of our lighting and audio needs throughout the Festival. You make us look good!

Then donate to the Silent Auction offered during the Culinary Christmas Classic event. Vacation, wellness, and adventure packages are among the items that will be auctioned during the evening. Our goal is to have more than $20,000 in Silent Auction items to bid on. Every year, we are overwhelmed by the exceptional items and services donated for auction.

Silent Auction items will be listed on the Silent Auction page at our website.

Southern Oregon Elmer’s, operators of six Elmer’s restaurants and Taprock Northwest Grill, are overseen by Owner Dave Thomason and Vice President Terry Hopkins. Southern Oregon Elmer’s operates stores in Albany, Springfield, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, and Klamath Falls.

Our list of community involvement is extensive but can be highlighted by partnerships with Goodwill, Children’s Cancer Association, Special Olympics, Wildlife Images, Mid Rogue Steelheaders, Art Along the Rogue, countless youth sports teams, church events, school fundraisers, and most notably our partnership with Sparrow Clubs USA.

Taprock Northwest Grill is proud to be involved with Rogue Winterfest. This event gives us the opportunity to share with the community our service philosophy of genuine Northwest hospitality as well as spotlighting the culinary talents of our kitchen staff. We are delighted to be a part of this very worthwhile event!

Family SolutionsKairos, and Options for Southern Oregon would personally like to thank Owner Dave Thomason, Vice President Terry Hopkins, Food and Beverage Director Dennis Hanson, Chef Alex Naranjo, and the entire Taprock staff for their continued support during Rogue Winterfest. This year’s Gala Feast is going to be exceptional! Check it out at our Gala and Grand Auction page.

Our Apologies

In our last Rogue Winterfest e-newsletter, we listed the incorrect name for one of our major sponsors: AllCare/CareSource Mid Rogue Independent Physician Association. Among the many services they offer, CareSource is the only locally owned and operated Medicare Advantage Plan in the Rogue Valley. In addition to providing the benefits that would be expected of any Medicare health insurance company, they strive to keep their members vibrantly healthy and active. They offer benefits above and beyond Original Medicare such as a low-cost health club membership, the Walk ’n Rollers walking group, a free 24-hour nurse helpline, newsletters four times a year, a community garden, and much more. Thank you AllCare/CareSource Mid Rogue Independent Physician Association for your continued support of Rogue Winterfest! For more details, visit their website at

About Rogue Winterfest

Rogue Winterfest’s four main events span five exhilarating days from December 5 through December 9, 2013: Gala & Grand Auction, Golden Social, Weekend Holiday Event, and Culinary Christmas Classic. All events are held at Evergreen Federal Bank’s Bear Hotel in Grants Pass—a unique venue transformed into a magical holiday wonderland surrounded by Northern Lights. Funds raised during this spectacular community festival support three mental health agencies in Josephine County: Family SolutionsKairos, and Options for Southern Oregon.
